hello, friend
my name is kristin
Here you’ll find Bible tips, encouragement, and resources
encouraging you to love the Bible
about Kristin
Hi there! I'm Kristin—first and foremost, a daughter of God. I’m also a wife, mama, Bible teacher, storyteller, dreamer, enthusiastic kitchen dance party host, and (despite my best efforts) a serial plant killer. I’m so glad you’re here!
My greatest passion in life is helping people know Jesus deeply and personally through the living and breathing Word of God—the Bible. Nothing lights me up more than seeing Scripture come alive in everyday life.
I love sharing and teaching the Bible in just about every space I can—from my local church to women’s events, social media, the Love the Bible podcast, and especially in the quiet, face-to-face moments with my family and friends. Whether it's at a church or my kitchen table, I believe every moment can be sacred.
Before becoming a full-time mama and Bible nerd, I worked as a School Psychologist in the public schools (yep, I actually enjoyed statistics and behavior charts). I earned an M.A. in School Psychology and later chased a lifelong dream by going back to school for an M.A. in Biblical Studies—turns out, God wired me to love both minds and manuscripts.
I now spend my days writing over at @shelovesbible on Instagram, hosting the Love the Bible podcast, and creating Bible resources that help people actually want to open their Bibles. My life verse is Isaiah 40:8, and I have a special place in my heart for the minor prophets—Zephaniah and Habakkuk are some of my favorite underdogs.
I live in sunny California with my two favorite humans—my husband and daughter. When I’m not knee-deep in commentaries or highlighting my Bible within an inch of its life, you’ll find me biking by the beach, cooking something that hopefully doesn’t burn, planning our next adventure, or laughing until I cry (which happens often).
More than anything, my prayer is that everything I do points back to the glory of our living God and His unshakable Word. I hope the free resources here encourage you to open your Bible, meet Jesus in its pages, and fall in love with Him more and more.
Welcome, friend. I’m truly glad you’re here.
Every year I read chronologically through the entire Bible in one month, and it has been life-changing.
& I found this to be one of the most helpful things to do:
Writing a one sentence summary on every book. I realize that not everyone will have the chance to read through the entire Bible, and I wanted to offer these summaries for free in case they might help. If you do have a chance to read straight through the Bible at least once in your lifetime, I highly recommend it! I found it to be so helpful in understanding the big picture, timelines, and main themes. In the meantime, if you’d like to download my summaries they are offered at the end of this paragraph. Disclaimer: Remember that these are not comprehensive summaries, and everyone might have a different take on what the overall summary of a particular book of the Bible might be. While I primarily wrote these for my own personal use, I hope they can be a help to some/many who want some more help in understanding the big picture of the Bible and the individual books. You can download the summaries HERE.

Pastels or fluorescents
Highlighting (though not necessary) helps us to slow down and observe the text.
Using the same highlighting method helps with continuity across Bibles and identifying the essential elements of a passage-theme, main ideas- quicker.
The printout is a bookmark size to easily put in a Bible, but you could also download it and keep electronically.

Have you ever been confused by Bible timelines?
Me too.
It wasn’t until recent years that I learned that the Bible is not written in chronological order, particularly the Old Testament. And one timeline I was especially confused by was that of the Kings and Prophets. I recently read through the Bible chronologically in a month and it was life-changing! Reading the Bible in this way helped me understand both timelines and Biblical history better. I wanted to create a resource to help others do the same, and I was inspired by a timeline that Visual Theology created on the Kings and Prophets and decided to adapt and create one as well. I am thankful for the beautiful talents of a friend (Bethany Young) who helped me finish this, and you can download it for free HERE.

Kristin has taught at a wide range of church events from 30 to 500 women, including one-day and weekend retreats. She is a regular Bible teacher at her local church as well, where she recently taught from her 6-week Habakkuk Bible study. Kristin loves to serve and partner with other churches in seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance in a message, whether it be a particular theme, topic, or need.

my statement of faith
I welcome people of all faiths on my page and social media links. My specific faith statement is here:
BIBLE
The BIBLE is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by man, and is inerrant and authoritative in its teaching and revelation of God Himself. The entirety of Scripture is completely trustworthy and the foundation of all Christian living and faith.
GOD THE FATHER
There is one true God expressed in the personhood of the trinity, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though each having distinct and personal attributes, the trinity has no division in its being or essence.
GOD THE SON
Jesus Christ in the Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect and sinless life as fully human and fully God. Through his substitutionary death on the cross, He made the complete provision for the redemption of man from sin. Through Jesus’s atonement alone is salvation offered.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is fully divine, exalting Christ as He points to the Father in all that He does. The Holy Spirit empowers every believer to live a godly live, through the conviction of sin and the enlightenment of His word.
SALVATION
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and salvation is freely offered to all who repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
