• Helping you delight in the Bible

and apply it to every area of your life.

Introduction

hi, I’m Kristin and I love helping others understand, delight in, and apply the bible to every area of LIFE…

Almost 20 years ago I (literally) dusted off the only Bible I had after falling head over heels in love with God and started devouring the words. I didn’t have a smart phone, commentaries, Bible study guides, or any other awesome resources but I did have the Holy Spirit. I learned that God loves talking to us through the Bible! That blew my mind and I couldn’t get enough. Since then I learned that there are some bumps (okay sometimes massive boulders) that get in the way of our Bible reading/study, such as a lack of motivation and understanding. Because of that I’ve loved helping others open their eyes to the wonder and help of this book through writing Bible studies and devotionals on social media, podcasting, providing resources, obtaining a Master’s in Biblical studies, teaching/speaking, and most of all, sitting across the table from others and simply sharing what God has taught me from these pages. I know I’m never going back to a life without these words, even when challenges come. I’d love for you to join me in this bumpy but beautiful Bible journey and I hope this page and these resources can be a help. So, I hope you’ll get cozy and linger a while!

Pastels or fluorescents

  • Highlighting (though not necessary) helps us to slow down and observe the text.

  • Using the same highlighting method helps with continuity across Bibles and identifying the essential elements of a passage-theme, main ideas- quicker.

  • The printout is a bookmark size to easily put in a Bible, but you could also download it and keep electronically.

  • My favorite free Bible study resource is the enduringword.com commentary, which has commentary on every book of the Bible. Some of my other favorite Bibles, studies, kids’ resources, books, are found HERE

  • I welcome people of all faiths on my page and social media links. My specific faith statement is here:

    BIBLE

The BIBLE is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by man, and is inerrant and authoritative in its teaching and revelation of God Himself. The entirety of Scripture is completely trustworthy and the foundation of all Christian living and faith.

    GOD THE FATHER

There is one true God expressed in the personhood of the trinity, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though each having distinct and personal attributes, the trinity has no division in its being or essence.

    GOD THE SON

Jesus Christ in the Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect and sinless life as fully human and fully God. Through his substitutionary death on the cross, He made the complete provision for the redemption of man from sin. Through Jesus’s atonement alone is salvation offered.

    GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is fully divine, exalting Christ as He points to the Father in all that He does. The Holy Spirit empowers every believer to live a godly live, through the conviction of sin and the enlightenment of His word.

    SALVATION

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and salvation is freely offered to all who repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

  • First, just know that you are not alone and the Bible can be confusing/overwhelming! But there is a lot of help out there:

    1) Invest in a good Bible. I recommend the NIV Study Bible for beginners and it can be found HERE

    2) Join and plug into a Bible teaching church. We can’t do this alone! We learn so much about the Bible from solid Bible teaching sermons.

    3) Join a small group at your church that is studying the Bible.

    4) Pray A LOT and ask for help. The Holy Spirit is our greatest resource and He loves to help us!

    5) Find a godly person who has been studying the Bible and ask them to help/meet with you.
